- Former Newcastle United player who played briefly on loan for Darlington during the 1998/99 season. Started his career at Middlesbrough in the youth ranks but never made the breakthrough there. He was signed by Newcastle United and would eventually go on to make over 220 appearances for the Magpies. Left Newcastle United to join Tottenham for £850,000. Following the departure of Osvaldo Ardiles as manager Scott lost his place in the Spurs side. Spells at Port Value, Charlton and Norwich City followed. The spell in Norfolk was eventually made permanent in February 1997 for a £250,000 fee. The 1998/99 season saw Scott loaned to Darlington. However by this point an ongoing knee injury was causing problems and eventually ended his professional career.
