About Darlo Stats
Darlo Stats is a site dedicated to Darlington Football results and player appearance data. For many years Darlington fans could find stats in the usual places like soccerbase. Frank Tweddle’s excellent definitive Darlington FC book helped fill in the gaps for older seasons that websites didn’t have.
However when the club was relegated to the Northern League for the 2012/13 season our games were no longer tracked. This meant some of the club’s best season’s in recent memories didn’t have readily available player appearance information and results. Stats were kept by various people however they were either unavailable, incomplete or scattered across different places.
Darlo stats aimed to bring all of those stats for the 2012/13 season onwards and make them available in an easy to search database. Since the website’s launch a few years ago all first team fixtures and players appearance data since the 2012/13 season has been added to the website. The goal now is to work backwards and add as many seasons as people to the database to keep all the club’s stats in one place.
Missing Data
If a game fixture or a player can’t be found on the website there is a good chance I simply haven’t got around to adding them to the website. I’m currently working backwards through the seasons. If you want to see where I’m up to just click on seasons. I only record first team fixtures and players who have made first team appearances. Games like Durham County Cup games etc aren’t recorded.
If however you think there is a mistake then please feel free to contact me. I’ve available on Twitter / X at KevinLuff. However there have been various people who have looked through the data over the years so we’re pretty confident everything is correct.
We’re constantly adding things and trying to add new features. However it’s all done in my spare time so its a case of adding things when I can.
