- Phil Stamp started his career at Middlesbrough. He made over 100 appearances for Boro before moving to Hearts in Scotland. Joined Darlington during the 2005/06 season but struggled for fitness during his time at the club and made only a handful of appearances. However he also played in goal for the second half of a game against Notts County after a sending off.
