Biography: Left-back Ian Watson joined Darlington from local side Blyth Spartans early in the 2014/15 season and quickly established himself in the starting eleven. Watson came to the club following Blyth’s victory over Darlington in the FA Cup and took over the position which had previously swapped between Terry Galbraith and Leon Scott. The left-back however found himself featuring less at the start of the 2015/16 season and decided his future lay away from the club and departed for Spennymoor Town.
