Biography

Experienced forward who is now in his third spell with the Quakers. Mark was signed just before the start of the 2016/17 season after he was freed by Yeovil Town. He started his career at Carlisle, and was at Brunton Park for five years until he was freed in the summer of 2015. During this time, he had a successful period on loan at Falkirk, in which he helped the SPL club reached the Scottish premiership play off semi finals. After he left Carlisle, Mark moved to Yeovil, who loaned him out for half of the 2015/16 season to Wrexham, and he was freed at the end of the season. Even though he was born in Sunderland, Mark has three Scotland Under 19 caps because his grandfather was born in Scotland. Beck started the 2017/18 season with Darlington but moved to Harrogate Town in November. He was then sent out on loan to York City in in July 2021 until the new year. Harrogate Town then released Back and ahead of the 2022/23 season he re-joined Darlington. Beck made an excellent start to the campaign and by January had scored 18 goals. That was enough for Solihull Moors to come knocking. Beck played in the 2024 FA Trophy final for Solihull where he scored twice as they lost on penalties to Gateshead, who he next joined on loan ahead of the 2024/25 season. In November 2024 he joined Scunthorpe on a permeant basis. Loan spells at Alfreton Town in November 2025 and Gateshead in January 2026 followed before he was released by Scunthorpe. Ahead of the 2026/27 season he joined Darlington for a third time.
