- The highly experienced McLaughlin joined Darlington on loan from York City in October 2025 following a season ending injury to Will Hatfield. Had previously played for Newcastle United, York, Grimsby, Gateshead and Hartlepool. Joined Darlington on a permeant basis ahead of the 2026/27 season.
