- Started his career as a YTS with Darlington and broke into the first team during the 1990/91 season. Would be involved in the first team the following season but made only a handful of appearances during the 1992/93 season. Ellison was more involved during the 1993/94 campaign. After this he left Darlington and played for Leicester City, Crewe and Hereford United. Returned to the club during the 1998/99 season.
