- Plummer signed his first professional contract, a two-and-a-half-year deal, with Championship side Hull City in December 2006 after beginning his career with the club as a trainee in 1998. Was a regular in the Hull City reserves but never made a breakthrough into the first team. When his contract with Hull expired in the summer of 2009 he departed the club and joined Darlington ahead of the 2009/10 season. Played a few games for the club before manager Steve Staunton released him from his contract in December 2009.
