- Darren Holloway joined Darlington ahead of the 2006/07 season. Prior to his arrival at Darlington he had played for Bradford City, Wimbledon, Scunthorpe United and Sunderland (where he started his career). Was released by Darlington at the end of the 2006/07 season. He had a spell with Gateshead after this. Returned to the club as assistant manager alongside Alun Armstrong in May 2019. Spent over four years at the club as Armstrong’s number two before leaving when Armstrong and the club parted ways after a disappointing start to the 2023/24 season.
