- Left back Charlie Winfield joined Darlington in late October on a month's loan from Barnsley. Winfield joined Barnsley at the age of 10 and worked his way through the youth set up before signing a scholarship with Barnsley in 2018. He has played for the club’s Under 21 and under 23 sides, and two years ago went out on loan to Esbjerg in Denmark and played 16 times for them. Unfortunately, he suffered an ACL injury after that which kept him out of action for several months. He had a loan spell at Alfreton during the 2022/23 season, before he made his first team debut against Tranmere in the EFL Cup in August 2023. Moved to Darlington on loan for month in October 2023.
