- Bains started his career at Coventry but was released at the end of the 2005/06 season after failing to make an appearance for the club. Spells at Accrington and Tamworth followed before he joined Darlington in August 2009 after impressing during training. In November 2009 he was loaned to Blyth Spartans and then in January 2010 was loaned to Gateshead. Was eventually released in April 2010.
