- Joined Darlington on loan from Sunderland in February 2024 following an injury to first choice shot stopper Tommy Taylor. Youg signed his first professional deal with Sunderland in November 2023 having joined Sunderland at the age of seven. Played in every age bracket and becoming a regular in the under-21s at the club during the 2023/24 season.
