- Amar Purewal was one of the club’s early signings in the summer of 2012 alongside his twin brother Arjun. Amar’s first few games for the club saw him start from the left-wing, however, he was quickly moved up-front to partner former Durham City team mate David Dowson. Amar has been a prolific scorer for the club, and became the first player since we were demoted to score over 50 goals for the club. Unfortunately he sustained an injury in January that ruled him out for the rest of the season, but by then he had still reached double figures. His most memorable goal is probably the third goal he scored against Team Northumbria in the penultimate game of the Northern League season. It sealed a 3-1 win and automatic promotion.
