- Centre half Kevin Burgess started his second spell at Darlington during the summer of 2015 after signing from Whitby Town. He started his first spell in 2006 after joining from Middlesbrough, and played in the youth team under current Darlington manager Martin Gray. He made one senior appearance before being loaned out to Whitby, who signed him on a permanent basis in 2008. He made 240 appearances for the Seasiders, scoring 12 goals. In the summer of 2015 he moved back to Darlington.
