- Dale Hopson made his Darlington debut during the troubled 2011/12 season. Made a handful of appearances and did enough to impress and earn a move to Huddersfield Town for the 2012/13 season. He played regularly for the Terriers Under 21 side before being released in December 2013. Stockton-on-Tees born Dale who started his career in Middlesbrough's academy then rejoined Darlington and made a handful more appearances during the club's Evo-Stik First Division North campaign.
