- Valentine started his career at Everton before signing for Darlington in 2002. Played over 150 games before joined Wrexham in 2006. Rejoined Darlington in January 2008 and played nearly 50 games in his second spell in the North East. Departed the club at the end of the 2008/09 season and signed for Hereford.
