- Midfielder Ricky Ravenhill joined Darlington initially on loan during the 2006/07 season from Grimsby Town. In the summer of 2007 a permanent deal was finalised between the two clubs. Prior to Darlington he had spells with Barnsley and Doncaster Rovers where he played under Darlo boss Dave Penney.
