- Biography
- A Hull City legend who made who over 200 appearances for the club. Scored the only goal of the 2008 Football League Championship play-off final which promoted Hull to the Premiership. Also had spells with Middlesbrough, Sheffield United, Bradford City and Oxford United. Arrived at Darlington in the summer of 2009 as player and assistant manager to manager Colin Tood. Windass and Todd only lasted a few games in charge at Darlington, before they left the club by mutual consent in late September 2009, having failed to win a single league game. Windass retired from football soon afterwards.
