- Born in Hartlepool, Paul Arnison started his career at Newcastle United, where failed to make an appearance. He joined his hometown club Hartlepool United firstly on loan in 2000 and then on a permanent basis. Scored on his home debut at Victoria Park and went on to make over 80 appearances for Hartlepool between 2000 and 2003. In October 2003 he joined Carlisle on loan and eventually signed a full deal with the club. During his first season with Carlisle they were relegation. Arnison however made over 100 appearances as eventually the club won back-to-back promotions during the 2004/05 and 2005/06 seasons. Moved to Bradford City in June of 2008. Eventually lost his place in the side at Bradford after injury and joined Darlington on trial in July 2009.
