- Andrew Nelson signed on loan from Sunderland in December 2018, and scored six goals in his first five matches - twice against Chorley, twice against York City and finally another two against Ashton United. His second goal, against Ashton United, was amongst the best goals of the 2018/19 season. Nelson impressed while on loan with Quakers and while manager Tommy Wright hoped to secure his services for longer he returned to Sunderland early in January 2019.
